Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when past or present experiences are weighing heavily on you. But you don’t have to face this alone.

I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported at your own pace. Your story matters and working together we can move towards positive change.

Qualified Counsellor in Swindon and Online

I'm Cat Attewell and I'm a qualified integrative counsellor with a Higher Education Diploma in Counselling from Waverley Abbey College awarded by Middlesex University. I offer one to one therapy with adults. I'm strong, caring and I build trusted relationships that help people work through emotional distress and psychological issues.

I have a particular interest in working with those with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and those seeking to process long term trauma including experiences from childhood.

I'm an individual member of the BACP 01031045

Swindon Counsellor Headshot

In addition to my counselling career I have years of professional experience supporting family carers and families where someone is living with a long term health condition such as dementia, Parkinson's and other life-changing long term conditions.

I provide a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where you can explore whatever feels important to you. I'm non-judgemental, inclusive of all backgrounds and faiths if you have one and LGBTQ+-affirming. I believe that coming to accept the many differing needs and parts of ourselves that we hold, helps us move through a feeling of "stuckness" to personal growth.

My Approach

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual. There is no “one-size-fits-all” here — our work together will be shaped around your needs.

A trusted therapeutic relationship creates the conditions for real change. When you feel safe and accepted, it becomes possible to gently explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
